Hollywood Hazzard Lights Up Screen

POP singer and reality TV star Jessica Simpson made her big-screen debut yesterday when The Dukes of Hazzard movie premiered at Grauman's Chinese theatre in Hollywood.

The film, based on the popular 1970s TV series about the escapades of good-old-boy hoons in a hot orange muscle car, stars Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville as Bo and Luke Duke, Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg and Willie Nelson as Uncle Jessie.

Simpson plays sexy short-shorts-wearin' cousin Daisy, the role made famous on TV by Catherine Bach.

The film is scheduled to open in Australia on September 15.
