DUKES of Hazzard star Jessica Simpson left her hot pants at home on Monday night for the film's British premiere.

Simpson plays pin-up Daisy Duke in the movie remake complete with trademark denim shorts.

The role was originally played by Catherine Bach in the hit 1980s TV show.

And Simpson wears an even tinier version of the famous shorts measuring just 25 centimetres from top to bottom.

Sadly for fans in London's Leicester Square, Simpson, 25, wore a floor-length dress for the premiere.

"I can't walk the red carpet in Daisy Dukes," she said.

Joining her at the event were co-stars Johnny Knoxville (Luke) and Sean William Scott ( Bo).

The movie opens in Australia on Thursday, September 15.

It follows the adventures of "good old boy" cousins, who, with the help of their eye-catching cousin Daisy and moonshine running uncle, Jesse (Willie Nelson), try to save the family farm.

Their efforts constantly find the Duke boys eluding authorities in their famed 1969 orange Dodge Charger.
